D & L Morrison Machinery Spares Pty. Ltd. manufacture The Hydra Saw, which is a hydraulic cut-off saw used for trimming and cutting timber to length in the bush.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Hydra Saw offers rugged construction, coupled with high performance and low maintenance.

It is fitted with either a 38" or a 43" inch bar running a 3/4" chain. The felxible mounting of the saw to the log grab is designed to eliminate cracking of the grab, which can happen with other more rigidly mounted cut-off saws.

A large capacity tank feed the chain bar oiler to ensure constant and adequate lubrication for extended bar and saw life. A stronger chain bar adjuster has been designed and fitted and the high-strength construction of the saw frame is specifically designed to resist bending under high-stress conditions.

Another feature of The Hydra Saw is the ease of access to the hydraulic controls from the exterior of the saw for extra safety. The unit has been risk-assessed and Tasmanian Workplace Safety Approved.

Because The Hydra Saw eliminates the need for a second person on the log landing to manually cut logs, saftey is improved and productivity is increased.
